Terms and Conditions on Boarding with Curtin Cat Care (CCC)

Business Hours: CCC is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am-10am and 4pm-6pm. Wednesday & Sunday 4-6pm & Saturday 8am-10am. Our hours of operation are to ensure staff has adequate time to provide a safe and clean environment for all cats in our care.

Holiday Hours: CCC is closed to the public on Good Friday, Easter Sunday , 24th of December until the 29th of December and the 1st of January.

Health: Curtin Cat Care’s priority is to provide a healthy and comfortable environment for our guests. To give the best possible care we require that your cat be up to date with the following, prior to Check In. All guests must have been:

  • fully vaccinated (minimum F3) at least two weeks prior to and no longer than twelve months before admission - all guests must have a current vaccination certificate at the time of Check In

  • given a flea treatment within the previous month

  • wormed within the last three months

    Proof of vaccination is required either prior to/or at check-in. This can be provided to us by uploading your cats vaccination certificate through your online customer portal onto their file, by email directly to enquiries@curtincatcare.com or in person.

Medication: Medication is only administered with proper documentation, per the instructions documented. CCC does not supply medication or keep a supply of medication outside of basic first aid supply. Medication must be brought in the original packaging with the prescribed instructions included. If your cat runs out of medication whilst in our care we will contact the veterinarian on file and request further medication on your behalf. There will be a admin and collection fee of $70 for this service.

Evacuation Protocol: In case of emergency, CCC is equipped with state of the art security and fire alarm systems. Should an evacuation be necessary, all owners will be notified to pick up their pets as soon as reasonably possible. For pets that are not able to be picked up, CCC will provide reasonable services depending on the situation to evacuate your cat/s. CCC is not responsible for injury or death that occurs as a result of natural weather occurrences for cats that remain in our care.


Emergency Services: CCC does not provide veterinarian services. If any of our guests need medical attention during their stay with us, your emergency contact will be consulted and informed of our concerns. If necessary your cat will then be escorted to the veterinarian of your choice (if available) and treated accordingly. After hours, pets will be brought to the Emergency After Hours Clinic, 21 Crinigan Circuit, Gungahlin, ACT,2912. Where the emergency contact person is unavailable we reserve the right to act in your cat's best interest. CCC is not responsible for injuries that occur as a result of everyday activities within our facility.

If veterinary attention is required, there will be a transportation fee of $70.00. All medical costs incurred are to be paid by the owner.


Abandoned Cats:
Please notify us if there is a change in your scheduled pick-up date. If you fail to check-out your pet on the scheduled pick-up date without making prior arrangements, CCC will send a Notice of Intent to Consider the Cat Abandoned. If we do not hear from you or are unable to contact you for a period of fourteen (14) days following emailing/mailing of such notice, CCC will consider your pet abandoned. You agree that you have relinquished ownership rights to your cat(s) to CCC. You agree and acknowledge that there are no guarantees made by CCC that abandoned cats will be rehomed, they may, in some cases be surrendered to the RSPCA. CCC will no longer be responsible for the care of your pet. Any outstanding account balance left unpaid will be owed to CCC and will be collected through legal means, if necessary. If suit has to be filed by CCC for nonpayment of boarding fees, you acknowledge and agree that this will be considered breach of contract and you will reimburse CCC for attorney fees, costs of court, case expenses and pre-judgement and post judgement interest at the maximum legal rate.

Release of Photos/Video/Webcams: Photos and videos cats or staff may be used on our website, social media or in other marketing material. When boarding your cat/s with CCC you consent to our use of your cat’s image, likeness and name in such marketing materials. All photos and video images taking whilst at CCC are the property of CCC.

Payment of fees.

  • All fees are to be paid in full prior to picking up your cat. Cats will not be released from our care until accounts have been paid.

High Season Bookings:

For bookings made over Christmas/New Year (between the 20/12 until 31/1) we require that full payment be made for dates reserved. During this period, should you choose to pick up your cat earlier than the organised dates, no refund will be given. We have needed to implement this policy, for the above period, as we will have turned away other customers in order to accommodate your cat.

Accommodation release: Cats will not be released to any person except the nominated owner unless prior arrangements have been made with CCC.


Employment:
